A discovery flight is just what it seems; it allows a person that has never flown before to try it out for the first time. It is a great low-risk option to experience flying and see if it is something that you would like to pursue. Whether your goal is to become a professional pilot for a major airline, fly anywhere you would like to travel or to just cross flying a plane off your bucket list, we will help you get there!

Is there a minimum or maximum age?
In theory, there is no minimum or maximum age for a Discovery Flight. We recommend that children be no younger than 8 years of age.
Is there a maximum height and weight?
In order to comfortably fit in the plane, the individual flying should be 6’3 or shorter and weight should not exceed 300 lbs.
Can I take pictures while flying?
Yes, you are welcome to bring a camera and / or a smart phone. Your family can take pictures of you before and after the flight next to the airplane and you are welcome to take pictures and film while in the air.
Where do we meet for this flight?
You will meet at Rosecrans Memorial Airport in the tower lobby. Your instructor will meet you at the door and welcome you. During the flight, family members are welcome to wait in the tower lobby.
Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early. Your instructor will reach out to you the day before your flight.

What happens if the weather interferes with my flight?
Your instructor will call you the day before to introduce himself and review the weather. If the weather cancels your flight, it will be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable date.
What if I need to reschedule?
Please notify us at least 24 hours before your flight. We are happy to reschedule your flight. If you are a no call / no show you will be charged $25.00 for a reschedule before you can take your Discovery Flight.
How do I select a date and time to fly?
During checkout, you will be asked to provide an ideal date and time for your experience. If you are giving this as a gift, then instructions on how to schedule the flight will be provided on the printable gift certificate that will be emailed to you after check-out.
